Set up, operate, and maintain equipment to manufacture quality components

 Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

    • Work with Molding lead / line coach for daily assignments
      • Verify that all products are in accordance with Workmanship Standards documented in the company's ISO procedures-including building to the Bill of material, routing and prints
      • Work with maintenance technician to ensure equipment is effectively utilized-note tool repairs on proper forms and submit to maintenance tech
      • Review the maintenance schedule with the maintenance technician for tools and equipment. Document required tooling repairs on tooling repair request form.
      • Responsible for time spent on breaks and manage PTO balances
      • Perform machine adjustments in order to obtain optimum tool performance (removing runners, purging of materials, adjusting cycle times, and machine processes, etc)
      • Material handling-moving materials as needed to cover production demands, mixing materials (virgin to regrind)
      • Complete daily paperwork accurately-labor hours, bluesheets, tag outs
      • Computer skills – access computer to print labels, utilize outlook, enter time, obtain prints, set up sheets, routings
      • Operate Grinders – clean grinders for material changes and grind runners from machines daily
      • Must be able to lift 75# on a regular basis
      • Document tool set up information on mold set up sheets
      • Assist line coach in performing cycle counts
    • Maintain quality
      • Understand and maintain the quality policy
      • Work with team members, production supervisors and quality personnel in assuring that we are using / manufacturing good quality components
      • Responsible for the quality of products manufactured in their work center
      • Assist with continuous improvement
  • Ensure a good and safe working environment by following company safety policies (ex: lock out tag out)
  • Work and interact effectively with others
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed

 Nature & Scope:

  • Reports to Sr Production Manager / Project Coordinator
  • No direct responsibility for supervising others.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED graduate
  • 1 year experience in Molding Setups or equivalent
  • Good Attendance is essential

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 year work experience in a manufacturing setting, mechanical abilities helpful
